I read a lot of books last month. A lot. For the last few years, October seems to end up being the month where all I want to read are manga and graphic novels. I read 16 books last month and 9 of them were graphic novels or manga. 3 were bad to so-so kindle unlimited reads, 2 were rereads of ebooks I already owned and only 2 were physical reads.
So the best reads of the month for me were definitely The Tea Dragon Festival and The Tea Dragon Tapestry (I read The Tea Dragon Society last month). That whole series is just absolutely adorable and heart-warming and the art work is just beautiful. If you’re in the mood for an easy to read middle-grade series of graphic novels, I really recommend it. But a close second and on the opposite end of the spectrum, I also really liked the 3 volumes of Vinland Saga that I read and I will be continuing with that series.
As for the novels I read, I really, really liked Wolfsong by TJ Klune. It was a surprise like for me as it took me a while to get into it but I did and it turned out that I really needed an emotional romance read…with wolves. That ended up being a great birthday treat to myself and I definitely want to read more books in that series.
